Online Shopping on Sephora
As I've mentioned in a couple of past posts, I haven't been in a great mood recently. I've been stressed out about job interviews and trying to move to Boston while also feeling pretty lonely in my hometown. After completing a phone interview that I felt went well, I decided to make an order from Sephora as a present to myself (and also because I was running out of foundation in my skin tone).
One thing I love about shopping online is that it gives me something to look forward to and be excited about even if I'm not super stoked about the outlook of my future. I also love shopping on Sephora because if I'm feeling like treating myself, I can always cash in some of my many accumulated points so I can get a box full of fun goodies without breaking the bank. Plus, every online order comes with three free samples, so even more little guilt-free presents! And if that isn't enough, they are always running different promo codes where you can snag even more samples. They also have an awesome selection of gift boxes and mini collections for getting more bang for your buck. Trying out new makeup is always fun for me, so unpacking a box full of tiny treasures from Sephora makes a dull day feel like Christmas!
My order came in a couple of days ago and opening it up brightened my whole day and has made doing my makeup recently super fun. Here's what I picked up!
Dark Rainbow Universalist Makeup Case
Sephora always comes out with great quality travel bags and makeup cases. Whenever I'm packing, I always get frustrated that some things will be too large or strangely shaped to fit in a normal travel makeup bag. The Universalist bag is huge and I love it! I won't need to take two different pouches, or toss palettes and brushes loosely into my bag. I can also tell that the glittery finish on the pouch isn't going to flake off onto everything I own, which is a huge plus. The whole Dark Rainbow collection of bags is totally awesome, and if you're looking for a makeup case to fit your needs I bet they have a purple glittery one that you'll love as much as I love mine.
Renewed Hope in a Jar Skin Tint
I haven't purchased any complexion makeup since the middle of the summer when I was much more tan. I've completely run out of my beloved L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion foundation and my Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick is on its last legs. I still have my super full coverage favorite: the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. I wanted to pick up a foundation that would be lightweight and low maintenance, and I came across this skin tint from Philosophy. Having worn it for the first time today, I really like it so far! It looks great with a finishing foundation powder on top of it.
Urban Decay Little Vices Lipstick Kit
It's no secret that I love lipstick and when I was looking for a treat that would make me smile I knew I wanted to pick up some fun shades! While there are a bunch of mini lipstick kits available right now, I ultimately chose the Little Vices kit from Urban Decay because I knew that I didn't have any colors like these, I knew I would wear these colors, and I knew I would love the formula since I already own one from this collection. The packaging on these little guys looks so beautiful and I'm so excited to try out all these colors!
Now for the free stuff...
I was so excited to use my points for this Makeup Forever kit. I've used the smoothing primer before and loved it, I use my other sample-size of the powder all the time, and I wore the lipstick for Halloween and the color is amazing! The liquid eye paint is a gorgeous soft gold color and I'm excited to try it out.
The last three things I picked up were perfume samples: YSL Black Opium, Dior Sauvage, and BVLGARI Man Black Cologne. I always have a solid stash of perfume samples from Sephora orders.
That's everything I picked up in my latest online haul from Sephora! Getting this package brought a big smile to my face and I know I'll have a ton of fun with all of these great new additions to my makeup collection.
